CELEBRATION OF THE SACRAMENTS

Arrangements are being finalised for the celebration of First Confession, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation next year. Children attending St. Colum’s Primary School in Portstewart and St. Patrick’s Primary School, Portrush are already enrolled for these sacraments and will undertake their preparation in school.

For children attending other schools who wish to receive their sacraments in 2025, participation in a sacramental preparation course is required. This course will be held at St Malachy’s Parish Centre in Coleraine, beginning in October 2024.

An enrolment meeting for parents and guardians of children taking part in the sacramental preparation courses will take place in St Malachy’s Parish Centre on Wednesday, 9th October at 7pm.

The following children are eligible for the sacraments:
• First Confession & First Communion – children in P4 (or older)
• Confirmation – Children in P7 (or older)
